On family has experienced an sudden and heartbreaking loss. Our dear brother, Samuel Aaron Bush, 19 years old, affectionately known as Sammy, passed away in his sleep suddenly on Thursday, August 12th.
Sammy came to our family when he was 10 weeks old. When his biological parents found out he had Down's Syndrome and could not care for him, they did the most loving thing and gave him up for adoption. He instantly won our hearts and became son, brother and uncle to our family. Sammy fought hard in many areas as a child and teen with the challenges of having special needs, but he did so with joy. He loved Jesus with all his heart and danced and worshiped without any restraint.
We lost our mom to cancer and Sam took it hard, but he still poured his love out to others. He loved our sister Abbie, and they doted over each other. She has special needs as well and they just flat knew how to care for each other. He was best buddies with our dad, Chuck, and they adored each other. Sammy was a ladies man, the big man on campus at North Greene High and his class unanimously voted him North Greene Homecoming King in his senior year. Sammy did not know a stranger and loved people with his whole heart.
With this sudden loss from a brief illness with Covid, we are asking for your help with funeral expenses. Dad had medical insurance for Sam, but he had no other means for a devastating loss such as this. He is on social security as are the kids, and we want to lighten the load as Dad is in the hospital recovering from pneumonia. Any amount would be such a blessing and a lifting of this financial burden.
Fly High, Little Brother, dance with the angels and give Momma Sue a big hug for us. We will miss you!
