Funeral expenses for Samantha Lawrence

Hi, my name is Lindsay Schmidt and I am lucky enough to have been best friends with Samantha Lawrence since elementary school.

I am heartbroken to share that Sam passed away in the early hours on February 14th 2024 in Stillwater, Minnesota.

Sam would be celebrating her 35th birthday next month. She leaves behind two sons, Ayden (15) and Eli (9), her mother Melisa, and her sister Jen.

If you knew Sam you knew how full of life she was. I can’t think of a more adventurous, compassionate, or caring person. Her first and greatest loves were her sons, she put her heart and soul into being a mother and there’s nothing that made her more proud than her boys. Her second love was cooking. She worked as a chef in some of the most known restaurants in the Twin Cities and was unbelievably talented. The world truly lost something beautiful when we lost Sam.

I have been communicating with Sam’s sister, Jen, and decided to set up a gofundme to help cover the costs of cremation, burial, a celebration of life and whatever expenses might come up over the next few months while they grieve the loss of their daughter, sister, and mother.

Please donate and share if you are able to. If there are any remaining funds left after laying Sam to rest, it will go to her two boys.

Here are the details for Samantha Lawrence's Memorial Service and Birthday Celebration of Life:

Place: New Richmond, WI American Legion Post 80

Date: Friday March 22nd, 2024

Doors will open around 130

Small service will start around 2 followed by a Birthday Celebration of Life.

Redcow St. Paul will be catering some food on behalf of Sam as well as able family is asked to bring a dish to pass. (Full kitchen accessible)

The American legion bar will open at 3 and we have the space for the remainder of the day. Come celebrate Samantha's life with us as she would want, with great food and great people!
