On the morning of January 14th, Cemal Dagdeviren of Levittown was tragically killed in a hit and run. A loving husband and father of two sons, he immigrated to the United States almost 25 years ago in hopes of providing his family with a better future. His oldest son, Alican, is recently married, and his youngest son, Ceyhun (Jay), is currently in the FDNY Fire Academy and also volunteers as a firefighter/EMT at the Bethpage Fire Department.

Cemal was a hard-working and kind man who will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

Funds will be used to pay for expenses to fly his body, as well as his wife and sons, back to Turkey. All additional donations will be used to help the family with their bills. Thank you for your help.
