My name is Victoria, and my life has changed forever after a devastating tragedy.

Just a few days ago, my beloved husband Viktor suddenly passed away. He was not only my love, my rock, and my support — he was also the one who carried all the responsibilities for our family. Now I am left alone with our two small children, just 5 and 7 years old.

We came to Canada from Ukraine three years ago as refugees because of the war. We landed in Newfoundland, where government bodies and local people welcomed us warmly and treated us with kindness. My husband and I worked hard to settle here — we found a rental home, our children started school and daycare, and step by step, we began to rebuild our lives.

A year later, Viktor started his own moving business. All the savings we had were invested into building it, and he worked tirelessly to make it grow. He dreamed of creating something strong and lasting for our family and for the community that welcomed us.

But suddenly, everything was taken away. While driving to the airport with our children to pick up a friend, Viktor ended up in a tragic accident and passed away. We are still waiting for answers on the cause of his death.

Along with unbearable grief, I am now facing overwhelming financial struggles. I need urgent help to provide for my children, cover basic living expenses, and organize Viktor’s funeral. My parents and brother in Ukraine also wish to fly here to support us, but I cannot afford their tickets.
