We have set up this go fund me page as we need to try and raise some funds to help Dave.
Some of you may or may not know that Big Dave had an accident a few weeks ago that has caused a huge infection/sepsis in his arm. He has had major vascular surgery, which if isn't successful, may result in him having to have his arm amputated.
Since this operation he has had a chain of events happen, including a car accident and then he fell down the stairs and cracked his head open which then put him back in hospital under sedation.
He has had four brain haemorrhages and has a fractured skull. A part of his skull is inside his brain and they will be deciding soon whether he needs an operation on this.
His arm is still being worked on in order to not have it amputated and is looking better. This is being looked at by plastic surgeons.
After his operation and everything that has happened, combined with the concoction of medication he has had to take, Dave had become quite depressed and was struggling with his mental health as well as his physical health.
We felt as his friends, that we needed to get one of our own out there to help him and support all the lovely people already in Portugal helping him there. We put Kelly on flight out there to do this.
The money would also help to support Dave and others who are doing their very best for him at this time, including petrol for hospital runs, food for them all, Dave's outgoings as he is unable to earn money at the moment and money towards a new vehicle for him which is essential as he lives in middle of nowhere.
He seems to be in more positive spirits again but still has a long way to go for full recovery.
