Fundraising for Long Covid Speacialist Treatment

Hi! My names Allegra Peres and for the past year I have been suffering from long Covid. I was infected in May ‘22, and didn’t realize for several months afterwards, just how bad it had gotten. After getting infected despite being high risk (underlying conditions such as a suppressed immune system and PCOS/Endometriosis) I had hoped that over time that I would recover and get back to my pre illness self, however that is not the case. Instead, I have been rendered bedridden from illnesses I have developed in the past year. This includes ME/CFS, POTS, and MCAS. These diseases are very serious and has rendered me incapable currently of properly taking care of myself, unable to get out of bed to do much more than go to the bathroom, and requiring me to use a wheelchair to get myself around to doctors appointments when outside of the home.

Before I was infected with Covid I was an artist; playwriting and performing were my passion since I was six years old, I had been on stage in some capacity since I was a little kid. Now I barely have the energy to get out of bed and stand for more than 10 minutes. I can no longer talk for long periods of time and I can’t walk, dance, read or write like I used to be able to. I would love to be able to do these things once again in some capacity with the proper treatment, and I have begun to see a specialist in ME/CFS but as she does not take insurance, the treatment plans are very expensive, and require a large out of pocket pay. I am fundraising to hopefully cover at least some of the base costs for my specialist treatment plan, as I am only 26 years old, and would love to have so much more life to live and art to create. If you could spare anything to help me I would be eternally great full as these diseases are very difficult to live through and treat, but I am hopeful with the proper care I can get even a little bit better.
