Fundraising for animal rescue charity Many Tears

Hi, my name is Marta and I'm fundraising for Many Tears Animal Rescue by doing cold water dips throughout November and December.

Many Tears is an animal rescue charity based near Cross Hands funded almost entirely by public donations. At any one time, they will have over 300 animals in their dedicated care, primarily dogs, but also cats, a few small furries, horses and donkeys. Their site is a mixed collection of various buildings that have been put together over the years as demand for their services has grown and is in almost constant need of costly repairs to keep them usable for the animals in their care. They regularly visit Ireland to rescue a motley collection of dogs from the many unregulated breeders, mainly those that remain unsold after the picks of the litters have been sold, or are too old or simply too tired to continue to breed from, and would otherwise face a very unsure future in the uncaring hands of their unscrupulous masters.

Your donations will help Many Tears continue their sterling work and will be put to good use, whether funding the trips to Ireland, paying the huge vets bills that arise from neutering the animals so they can't be abused for breeding ever again or repairing the damage caused by years of callous neglect.
