All Terrain Wheelchair For Xavier

We are fundraising for an all-terrain wheelchair for Xavier.
Xavier was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 3. This shattered our family, and we have all had to adapt to a different way of living. No one more so than Xavier. He is now 11 and has just started a secondary.
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a genetic muscle-wasting condition. Due to a lack of the dystrophin protein, muscle fibres break down and are replaced by fibrous and fatty tissue causing the muscles to weaken gradually.
We were camping this summer, and the number of things Xavier was unable to access became increasingly evident. Finding a dog-friendly beach was hard enough, let alone trying to find one that was wheelchair accessible. This meant that Xavier was restricted in what he could do - which is heartbreaking as a parent.
So we started researching all-terrain wheelchairs - Xavier's face lit up at the possibility of driving on the beach and off-road with the dog. So here was are, seeing if we can make it a reality for him.
