Fundraiser For Nestor And His Family
Spende geschützt
On the evening of June 25th, while waiting to start chemotherapy on a recent diagnosis of small cell lung cancer, Nestor suffered a stroke. A tumor in his brain that they believed was benign started bleeding and a stroke was the outcome. This tumor is unfortunately related to the cancer.
That evening the family was told that they should say their goodbyes because Nestors health would only decline. The doctors expected no improvement and Nestor would be put on Comfort Care for the rest of his days with them. He was unresponsive.
The next morning, to their surprise and relief, Nestor was responsive to the doctors and family members to which the doctor suggested that he be taken off Comfort Care and see how he would do. Since then, Nestor has said some sentences, is able to move all his body parts, and ate and drank with assistance.
Nestor's case is a complicated one and they are unsure what the future holds. For now they are staying positive, praying, and celebrating the extended time they didn't think they were going to have with him.
Naomi and Nestor have been in Anchorage for almost a month now and some of the family flown in to be with them. If you feel in your heart to help financially during this time, it would greatly appreciated. If you're not able to help financially, please just lift the family, especially Nestor, up in prayer. They believe in miracles and that is what they are praying for.
