Ana (Elioene) Pereira Cancer Battle Fundraiser

It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we have had to create this fundraiser for Elioene Almeida Pereira.

 

Elioene (many will know here as Ana) has been recently been diagnosed with a stage 4 Cholangiocarcinoma which has metastasised.

 

The Pereira family is in a very difficult position mentally and emotionally as they are still reeling from the death of their father Enoque Pereira some 10 years ago, with the recent illness of the matriarch of the family coming as a unwelcome shock.

 

Elioene, who is 62 years old, is still battling with the strength she has left and is hopeful despite the seriousness of her condition.

 

Her children Anabella, Michael & Jonathan have been diligently assisting with her care along with a small network of close friends to make sure she is well taken care of, Anabella having to take several months off work to help assist with her care.

 

Elioene was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cholangiocarcinoma (Cancer in the upper digestive system) in March 2022. Since then, she has been receiving treatment at several hospitals and at home however due to her current state she is unable to receive chemotherapy.

Elioene along with her late husband Enoque were beloved community leaders and were prominent members of the Brazilian diaspora in London.

They did much work in organising charity events, counselling those in need as well as exercising other duties as ministers within the community.

Enoque and Elioene were very dedicated to their work and wholeheartedly gave their all to aid those under their care and in their community. 

 

Due to financial constraints many of her family have not had the opportunity to travel from Brazil to see her.

 

Please help us by coming together to assist the family in this hour of need. Many knew her as a loving and giving person, others saw her as a mother or a dear friend.

 

The money will be used towards providing her with supplements, medical equipment which is not covered by the NHS, her full time care, for her family to visit her from overseas and for any other eventuality that may arise.

 

Our contribution may be little to ease the families suffering but it would be a welcome aid to support the family.

Elioene (muitos conhece ela com Ana) foi recentemente diagnosticada com um Colangiocarcinoma de estágio 4 que sofreu metástase.

 

A família Pereira está em uma posição muito difícil mentalmente e emocionalmente, pois ainda está se recuperando da morte de seu pai Enoque Pereira, há cerca de 10 anos, com a recente doença da matriarca da família sendo um choque indesejável.

 

Elioene, que tem 62 anos, ainda luta com as forças que lhe resta e está esperançosa apesar da gravidade de sua condição.

 

Seus filhos Anabella, Michael e Jonathan têm ajudado diligentemente com seus cuidados, juntamente com uma pequena rede de amigos próximos, para garantir que ela seja bem cuidada, Anabella tendo que tirar vários meses de folga do trabalho para ajudar com seus cuidados.

Elioene foi diagnosticada com colangiocarcinoma estágio 4 (câncer no sistema digestivo superior) em Março de 2022. Desde então, ela está recebendo tratamento em vários hospitais e em casa, mas devido ao seu estado atual ela não pode receber quimioterapia.

Elioene junto com seu esposo Enoque eram líderes comunitários amados e eram membros proeminentes da diáspora brasileira em Londres.

Juntos fizeram muito trabalho na organização de eventos de caridade, aconselhando os necessitados, bem como exercendo outras funções como ministros.

Enoque e Elioene foram muito dedicados ao seu trabalho e deram tudo de si para ajudar aqueles sobre seus cuidados.

 

Devido a restrições financeiras, muitos de sua família não tiveram a oportunidade de viajar do Brasil para vê-la.

 

Por favor, ajude-nos nos unindo para ajudar a família nesta hora de necessidade. Muitos a conheciam como uma pessoa amorosa e generosa, outros a viam como mãe ou amiga querida.

 

O dinheiro será usado para fornecer suplementos, equipamentos médicos não cobertos pelo NHS, seus cuidados em tempo integral, para que sua família a visite do exterior e para qualquer outra eventualidade que possa surgir.

 

Nossa contribuição pode ser pequena para aliviar o sofrimento da família, mas seria uma ajuda bem-vinda para sustentar a família.
