Jenna's Medyka and Przemsyl Refugee Project

Hello there!

My name's Jen. As many of my family and friends know, I've come to Poland/Ukrainian border with my friend Peter to help with humanitarian aid for Ukranian refugees.

We have been volunteering at the border towns of Medyka and Przemsyl. Dozens of organisations are there to help families with immediate needs, like food, SIM cards, and basic necessities. Thousands of them are staying and seeking aslyum in a massive refugee centre in a converted TESCO outside Przemsyl.

Today, we've spent the day gathering supplies for the families such as clothes, toiletries, blankets, food, and toys for children in a nearby city. The centre has an always changing list of goods they need as more families come over. Volunteers are grabbing whatever they can, whenever they can.

These items obviously cost money, so I'm setting up this page to gain donations towards the cost of helping.  Donations will be spent the same way we're spending our own money here: buying supplies and giving whereever we can.

 

We're leaving back to the UK soon, but planning on making a return trip in May. Donations will go to continue our volunteering efforts with the displaced families of Ukraine at the centre.
