Funding community projects around the UK

The Creative Action Network is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting community arts projects across the UK, and we believe that creativity has the power to bring people together, spark important conversations, and enrich lives. Through our small grants of up to £500, we help fund a wide range of artistic initiatives, including talks, writing projects, performances, accessibility improvements, and other creative activities that spread joy and connection within communities.

We recognize that access to the arts is essential for vibrant, inclusive communities, and creative opportunities provide spaces for self-expression, storytelling, and cultural exchange, that can help to build confidence, improve mental well-being, and strengthen social bonds. However, financial barriers often prevent grassroots projects from getting off the ground, and that’s where we come in, because we firmly believe that creativity is not a privilege but a shared resource for all.

Whether it’s a poetry workshop, a local performance, or an initiative that makes art spaces more accessible, we’re here to champion community-led creativity. Together, we can make the arts a driving force for positive change across the UK.

We’ve already supported a range of impactful projects, from creative writing workshops that promote mental well-being and help people process trauma to memory book initiatives for families with loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s. We've also funded accessibility improvements for film festivals and community-led film projects, ensuring that the arts remain inclusive and accessible to all. But there are always new and exciting initiatives in need of support, and we’re constantly looking for more ways to fund these incredible creative projects.
