Funderburg Family

Last night God spared the three strongest women I know.

I’m thankful for God’s grace and mercy. God’s protection through the storms and fires of life.

I’m eternally grateful that last night as I got a call from my sister at 1:44am, God spared her and my two baby nieces in a total loss house fire.

The same sister and nieces who lost their husband/father only 10 months ago to a tragic accident.

I’m thankful for a sister who is the strongest woman I know weathering the storms of life and as I run across the yard with sirens and fire trucks, my sister holding her 6 month old nursing her and my 3.5yr old niece is literally dancing in the rain and storm as firemen (amazing btw, not sure what county/department/volunteer, but in Remlap, AL) are fighting their burning home.

Now that… that is God strength.

My family is safe and my heart is immensely saddened but immensely rejoicing in the same breaths.

The last year has thrown storms but my sister refuses to be beaten.

Sissy, I am so proud of you. You make my heart beam with joy and pride. You do life beautifully and more courageously than anyone I’ve ever known. I see you.
