NASA SEES is a beloved and highly recommended summer research opportunity for students interested in space sciences and engineering, taking place at UT Austin over the course of two weeks. In previous years, the program was fully funded, allowing students across all socioeconomic backgrounds to partake in research projects and present them at symposiums, conferences, and more.

HOWEVER, this year, the SEES program lost some crucial funding, forcing it to not only decrease its class size for the summer, but to also make the cost of attendance $1,725 per student (not including travel costs). An opportunity held in high regard by colleges, alumni, and educators alike lost one of its greatest assets: its accessibility. To help alleviate the issue, SEES alumni have created a GoFundMe to raise money for those who cannot afford the attendance fee. Please donate if you can and spread the word so that deserving, hardworking students will be able to take advantage of this opportunity.

The goal is to raise $10,000 for twenty scholarships of $500 each, to offset half of the costs for around 20 students.
