Fund Neema's Medical Treatment
Spende geschützt
It's been 19 years. For some reason, last year my migraines began to Escalate in intensity and frequency. Since I was 4 years old, we have consulted opticians, general practitioners, and been put on painkillers, supplements and food regimens. Last year the neurologist I have been seeing ran a series of tests and concluded the migraines were on a spectrum. This means they can be mild and last for days or be extremely severe resulting in quiet, dark and a bucket for throwing up due to the pain.
This has also meant that the depression and anxiety diagnoses I have are compounded by the migraines I experience and have resulted in needing an even higher prescription for the required medication in order to cope. My neurologist had changed my medication 3 times last year alone because previous trials did not go well.
My mom and I do our best to get the care I need, but our medical insurance barely covers 6 months' worth of treatment. The last series of tests I had to do while admitted in hospital resulted in a more extreme diagnosis in the form of intractable migraines, with the only treatment plan being a series of monthly injections that we can't afford in order to try and mitigate the pain. I'm not able to participate in my job or continue with my university education and it seems like there is no solution we can come to. We need help. This journey has exhausted all our finances, including loan facilities.
We're looking for $50,000 USD. The finds will help pay for my medical treatment while the rest will go toward funding the rest of my senior year at university if there is any left. Please help me finish my degree and continue treatment.
