Fund for Louis Ncube Family

Many hearts were broken when Louis Ncube and his friend were killed in a traffic accident on their way to work with lions on February 10, 2020. 

I am inviting you to contribute to a collection for Louis’ wife, Ezeth and daughters, Laura and Nicole.  Life in Zimbabwe has not been easy for the Ncube family, even when both Louis and his wife were working.  I'm sure that we can help Ezeth, Laura and Nicole adjust to their smaller family with our contributions and love.  Thank you for anything you would like to send to the Ncubes.

I met Louis Ncube in 2014 when he was working at a Lion Encounter and Conservation Program in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.  Louis and I became friends that day and stayed in touch through the years.  He told me about his mother who lives in the bush, away from a city, and his wife, Ezeth and daughter Laura, who will be 12 this year.  He was proud to share the news of the birth of their second daughter, Nicole, born in 2016.  Football (soccer to us) has always been a passion for Louis.  I sent him a soccer ball and hoped that he would actually play with it!  It has been a pleasure to send school supplies, dresses, clothes, tea and fun things to the Ncube family through the years. 

Louis and I enjoyed a reunion in June 2019.  We spent a day together in Victoria Falls and had an early celebration of our shared birthday
(July 5).

Louis was a special, gentle man who made many international friends.    I am grateful to have known him and will keep him and his family in my heart.
