My Dad has been running a DEMENTIA FRIENDSHIP club in Bolton for many, many years.

It's something extremely close to his heart as his parents both dies from Dementia and he know how much they loved attending the club and how much life it brought to them and others.

The club is open once a week on a Friday for all those who are affected my Dementia in some way or another. There are between 80 and 120 that attend.

He raises money to keep it open, to provide food and drinks and also entertainment.

We all know how much music brings people with Dementia.. and he sings and plays hia guitar and provides singers and fun games.

Thought out the year he raises as much money to pay for coaches to take them all on seaside hotel trips ,with their carers .. but up to now they have all had to lay for their accommodation themselves.

My Dad's dream would be to suprise them all with a fully all expense paid 3 night hotel stay in Lytham St Annes.

It would mean the absolutely world to my Dad to be able to pull this off.

He spends every day of his retirement giving back and doing whatever he can to raise funds. Whether its singing on the streets with his band, or in supermarkets... to organising fundraising shows.

I would love nothing more than to make this happen for him... aswell as all who attend the friendship club.
