Fuel Hope: Darrin’s Cancer Journey
Donation protected
Hi my name is Jennifer Davis. My husband that I’ve known and loved for 35+ years was diagnosed with esophageal cancer 9 months ago. After treatments (radiation and chemotherapy) in Utah, he has now been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He was/is our family's leader and breadwinner. He spent his life in the construction trade. And started his own business 3 years ago, but continued to work for local contractors. He never missed a day of good hard work, nor an opportunity to spend time with family and friends. Most of our free time is outdoors. Hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, foraging for mushrooms and berries, cutting and stacking wood for the winter. But this all stopped 9 months ago, when he became to sick, and it was then that he was diagnosed. I took over as full time care giver. A month ago we were told that there was a treatment that might be beneficial to him. He was granted the gift of being a great recipient for immunotherapy, which could possibly extend his life. We live in N. Idaho, his treatments are in Utah. I’m not asking for handouts, just enough to get him back and forth for his treatments that could possibly save his life. He is the salt of the earth to me, his family, and friends. We have one child, our son. Our son is his best friend. And he is our son’s best friend. Thank you for taking the time to read.
