Fuel Creativity: Bring Friendly Alien Time to Your Life

Not all coming of age stories have our characters becoming better people. Though Friendly Alien Time takes place in the past, the problems faced here are very much prevalent to this day. Prejudice and propeganda can cloud one’s judgement, and can taint people into going into dark paths, and have them do unspeakable things. Friendly Alien Time isn’t looking to take itself too seriously, so it’ll tackle the subject in a goofy, irreverent way, with an absolutely absurd ending. What’s the best way to inform an audience about important subject matter? Hit ‘em over the head with it, this time, literally!

I’m Aiden Gottschalk, the writer and director of Friendly Alien Time. I’ve been writing all my life, and this is an idea I’ve had stored in the brain for just as long, roughly since I came out of my test tube! As a longtime fan of practical effects, absurd scenarios, and thinly veiled political commentary, it’s an absolute dream being able to bring this story to life with such a wildly talented team. I’m a big believer in making movies fun, and nothing, and I truly mean nothing, is more fun than having a silly alien puppet experience what humanity is all about. Hatred! Yippee!

Hello! My name is Jacob Kojder and I am the producer of this project! When Aiden first approached me with this story, I knew this was something I absolutely had to work on, and I am honored to produce. For me, this is a culmination of all our hardworking friends collaborating. Every person assembled has put so much time and effort in that makes us so proud to call them our friends. The reason why we made this GoFundMe is to put fuel into that creativity and effort we have all put into this.

We have an incredible art department team that are working on a practical alien puppet as well as set dressing, props, and costumes for our 80s aesthetic. We want to provide as much food as possible to keep our cast and crew fed. Equipment and transportation rentals help immensely as we can make the film look the best that it can and we don't have to mule it all on our backs!
