TCF Ethiopia Medical Service Trip

Tomorrow Come Foundation (TCF) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3)organization specifically created to improve the future of the African continent by investing in their children through education and expanding access to healthcare. Ethiopia is a nation laden by a high rate of poverty, a high prevalence of communicable disease and a weak internal country-based health system. Over 30 percent of the Ethiopian population lives below the national poverty line. Less than half of the population has access to safe water and less than 25% of the population has proper sanitation services.  The country is burdened by high rates of malaria, HIV and tuberculosis. However, you can help!

Led by Drs. Adam Beckett (ER physician from Missouri; founder of Global First Responder) and Arturo Echeverri (Neurologist from Montana; cofounder of the Tomorrow Come Foundation), our TCF team of approximately 20 medical and non-medical volunteers from all over the US will set up clinic in Ambo, Ethiopia where medical care is greatly needed. Not only will we be providing care to the beautiful orphans at New Hope Center, we will be conducting clinics at the local medical school, the University of Ambo. Our goal is not only to provide acute medical care, but to impart knowledge through educational public health activities and direct collaboration with the University of Ambo medical students.

Our ability to conduct a successful medical service trip greatly depends on the encouragement and support of others. At present, our team is in great need of monetary donations to purchase necessary supplies including medications, examination supplies (such as disposable exam gloves) and clinic supplies (from trash bags to medication bag labels). While you might not be able to travel to Ethiopia personally, I encourage you to consider the impact you can make as a supporter of our team.  Would you be willing to make a donation? Perhaps even willing to challenge your friends to match your donation or do the chicken dance (we can call it the Chicken Dance Challenge)? Not only is your donation greatly appreciated, it is also tax deductible. Please consider becoming a supporter of the 2014 TCF Ethiopia Medical Service Trip today!
