Last year FSU Equestrian was Sports Club of the Year out of 37 sport clubs at Florida State University. Each of our 3 teams (Hunt Seat, Western and Dressage) had a very succesful 2016-2017 show season. We hope to maintain the winning momentum of last year for the 2017-2018 show season. However, we can not do this without your support!
As a sport club, we are not fully funded by the university, and the majority of our funding for these competitions comes from donors like you. The average cost to attend one horse show for a team is over $2,000. With our teams attending around 15 shows per year, our budget for show attendance alone is $30,000. This does not include weekly lessons, travel expenses, show clothes or equipment, which our memebers pay for out of pocket. We hope that with your help, we can offset some of these costs for our members so that we can represent FSU and the Sport Club Program to the best of our abilities.
