Meet Sofia!

This outstanding little lady has been through more in her nine years than most will experience in a lifetime. She loves to sing and has the voice of an angel. She loves dancing and theatre. Her heart is pure gold.

Born with a rare genetic disorder, Mainzer-Saldino Syndrome, little Sofi’s medical history is extensive.

As a result of this genetic disorder, Sofi has been diagnosed with:
Restrictive Lung Disease
Subdural Hematoma (requiring neurosurgery)
Decreased Alveolar Aeration
Sleep Apnea
Spinal stenosis (requiring spinal laminectomy)
Severe Hypertension
Skeletal Dysplasia
Kidney Injury and scarring
Excessive parathyroid hormone
Metabolic Disease
Loss of Bladder Control
Chronic Kidney Disease, Stage IV

Sofia’s kidneys are currently shutting down. She is entering kidney failure and she has been placed on a transplant list. She is in chronic pain fatigue, no energy whatsoever as her little body transitions. The medical processes have begun but this has placed a devastating financial burden on her family

As you know, when a child is sick, the whole family is affected. Sofia has a younger brother who is also affected by Mainzer-Saldino Syndrome and will eventually need a kidney transplant.

Sofia’s hero her father Manuel Ricardo is tested and approved kidney match for Sofia he’s an amazing human been that has not hesitate to proceed but wants to make sure all of our living expenses have been covered please help me help him go in to surgery relief of any financial struggles we could face while recovering. Date is set for October 22, 2018
