Andrew Anderson Legal Defense Fund

Andrew Anderson --  friend, neighbor, community volunteer, business owner -- is currently being detained by immigration authorites. T his campaign is to raise the initial legal funds to proceed with Andrew's bond hearing. 

Andrew was traveling on a Greyhound bus to Fort Myers to visit friends when he was stopped by border patrol agents and led away in handcuffs.  Andrew entered the US legally at age 19.  He is an openly gay man, originally from Trinidad.  He has been in the United States for 14 years without any legal issues.  Help support Andrew’s efforts to stay in the US. 

We will be updating the fundraising goal amount as his legal defense needs are clarified.

Note:  Andrew has given Ryan Vandegrift of Vacation Rentals of Miami (Andrew's partner) power of attorney to manage his business and financial affairs.  Ryan Vandegrift is the assigned beneficiary of this campaign, since Andrew cannot withdraw the funds on his own behalf.
