Sprout Home Chicago Friends,
This past week has been nothing short of devastating as our world turned upside down due to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. We tried to wait out the storm as long as we could but unfortunately, like many other local business, we were left with no choice but to close our doors for the time being.
Many of you and our other Sprout Home friends have reached out in the past few days to ask how they can support us through these hard times, and we thank you immensely for your overwhelming encouragement. All we can think of right now is how we can provide financial relief to the hardest working people who have made Sprout Home our home - the gardeners, florists, designers, delivery drivers and all of the amazing support staff we miss dearly - and truly look forward to seeing again once our doors re-open.
It’s clear that our entire city is feeling the financial hardship and we will all be feeling it for quite some time. Unfortunately, government assistance has not been an immediate solution or even an option for many of our staff in Chicago. We humbly ask for your support and solidarity, the chance to plant a seed and cultivate our community with the help of one another - 100% of proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to our staff. If you're unable to give financial support, spread the word and spread the love in whatever way you can. We are doing our part to create action plans and ensure that Sprout Home will survive this hiatus and reopen when the time is right - when that time comes we will be there to greet you with hugs and lots and lots of greenery. In the mean time, together we will rebuild our community to be stronger than before and will always be your crazy plant neighbor!
