Friends for Ilauna

I know a lot of you have heard about Ilauna’s unfortunate incident the weekend of June 17th. For those of you who do not know, she was robbed at gun point. A man broke in to her home around 2:00AM. He broke through her sliding glass doors and pointed a gun at her head.
He took her purse with credit cards and cash. Fortunately, he left without doing any further harm to her, but he told her he would be back. The police were called and they seem to feel that it was not a random break in and that she was targeted.

Needless, to say, Ilauna is traumatized. She is staying with her daughter and does not want to go back in to her own home. She has had to have the door replaced and it wasn’t inexpensive. All in all this horrible experience has made her decide to leave Arizona
and move back to Washington to be near family. Her son lives there. Her Mother no longer lives in Surprise. We are not happy about this and hate to see her go. She has taught us some wonderful dances over the years and made great contributions to the Variety Shows.

Several of us have talked and we want to help. As you all know, moving expenses are hefty and this is something we can do for her. She plans to be leave around 7/29/17. This is our opportunity to assist with the expenses of moving and help her to heal from the trauma she has been through. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. You may or may not know that she is single so all the expense of moving will be hers. We consider her a friend as well as a great choreographer, so please consider contributing to this account. Think of it as a token of appreciation for all the entertainment she has enabled us to be a part of over the years.
