Feeding local families during the virus crisis

The Algarve is almost 90% tourism dependent. No tourists = no jobs and there are very little social benefits available to those affected. The sudden unemployment level in what would be the Algarve´s main income season for so many, is massive - and we need your help! 1: Demand for food assistance is up 70%, how to feed your family and how to protect yourself from becoming infected, as much as is possible. Our "Gofundme" campaign helps address both. We are now helping our disadvantaged community members directly, by personally providing practical food aid deliveries through our local soup kitchen. Money will buy food, we have made our first deliveries, over 150 families per week and rising, will benefit from your kind donations.
Secondly, we are providing high quality re-useable protective textile face masks for sale on-line. Already the rule to wear face masks in any public spaces such as supermarkets etc is now in place at a price before you go through the door.
If you have no money, where can you get them, And yes there is the internet, for those who have it and a credit card to pay online. What about those who do not have that access? Your donations will enable us to make or purchase more re-useable masks to give to the families. This is a crisis on our European soil. Please help, we are ready now to do so with YOU.
Your donations will go to local soup kitchens in Lagos and food collection points elswhere in the Algarve as funding increases.
IMPORTANT: Our face masks are made following extensive research and are based on a proto type used in Austria by the regional Health Authorities for their patients and care home users and non-medical staff. Our masks are made of pre-washed cotton, triple layered for maximum protection. They are washable to 95 degrees and re-usable - again and again. Please see our Facebook page for more details.
