Freddie Goes Viking

Donation protected
Freddie is 6 years old. He has decided to walk the length (147 miles) of the Viking Way to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and 31st Lincoln, Monks Abbey Scout Group.

Freddie's Nanny (my Mum) Jill Pues was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in November 2018. Having already lost the ability to speak, eat and drink her mobility has since also been affected. Freddie wants to raise money to help one of the charities who helps support and look after his Nanny and also help more people like her.

The decision to raise funds for his Scout Group too was made because Freddie enjoys his Scouting but wants to be able to do more activities and to have better equipment for camps etc. The Scout Group is based in one of the most deprived areas of Lincoln so the cost to families has to be kept as low as possible, making raising extra funds for the Group difficult. Freddie hopes to raise enough money to buy some new, better tents for them to sleep in on camp and some upgraded camp kitchen equipment. It is also hoped that some of the money will be able to go towards a camp for the Group in 2020 to which the families would have very little, if no cost.

Please help Freddie to raise money to support both these causes. The money raised will be split equally between the two causes.

Freddie will be walking with me, his Mummy (Amanda Crombie) and other friends, family and members of the Scout Group.

The walk takes place from the 27th July to the 5th August 2020 beginning in Oakham and finishing at the Humber Bridge.
