Fracking is Contaminating our Water! Can you Help?

People from Frack Free Fylde and Team Frack Free are fully committed to continue the fight against fracking whatever it takes until a total ban is in place. We now need to use every second of the moratorium to bring pressure to bear on the regulators - the Environment Agency, and the Health & Safety Executive as well as on the government.
One of the major risks to health from the fracking process is water contamination. The Sherwood Sandstone aquifer, below the Fylde, classed as a principal aquifer by the Environment Agency, although too deep to be accessible, lies much closer to the surface east of the fracking site where it overlies the shale-gas target of the frackers. In this area water from the aquifer is used for both public and private water supply
We are now in the position where we have to pull out all the stops to prevent Cuadrilla resuming fracking, and with further evidence, try to bring a halt to the fracking industry as a whole. This cannot be left to government, it is down to a small group of convicted and genuine people, (some who have been fighting fracking since the 2011 earthquakes), using every moment and every way possible to bring an end to this industry.
Water from the springs has already been tested with results coming back positive for traces of benzene and toluene, two substances which can only have come from the fracking fluid. Further samples from three ponds close to the site were therefore taken recently to check if these two contaminants are still present. As the outlay for having each sample professionally tested in a laboratory is very high and more than we can now afford to pay ourselves, we would greatly appreciate any help anyone is able to give towards the funding.
