Fostering sweet Dreams Fixer Upper

Want to join us in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Fostering Sweet Dreams Foundation/ Fixer Upper Fundraiser. 

Fostering Sweet Dreams is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Edmond that serves vulnerable children across the State of Oklahoma.  We’ve helped families in 35 counties to date.  Our mission is to provide essential resources such as beds, car seats and dressers to those in need.  Helping foster children, children in reunification with birth parents, aging out of the system teens, and all vulnerable children is why we started this organization. On many occasions we make the difference in a child’splacement in a kinship home or a home with their siblings by providing the resources such as a bed of their own. Since March of 2016 Fostering Sweet Dreams has impacted over 3,000 children in our state. We are partnered with OKDHS, most all the private foster agencies, along with many other nonprofits throughout the state who deal with childrens’ needs. Fostering Sweet Dreams is in the Good Neighbor initiative created by our Governor and Director Justin Brown of OKDHS. We are also members of the Center for Nonprofits of Oklahoma and are registered with Give Smart OKC.

Out of the desire to create sustainability for many years to come, we need Fostering Sweet Dreams to have a location that is owned by the organization and no longer renting a location in order to better serve the community for many years to come.  To do this, we have invested in a home in Edmond to remodel it in order to raise enough funds for a down payment for on a forever home for Fostering Sweet Dreams. We have secured a home in a very desirable area of Edmond to renovate and create a showhome with the goal to sell the home upon completion to raise themoney for this cause.  In order for this to happen we know thiswill take a large effort and donations of time and materials from many people such as contractors, suppliers, designers, homebuilders, volunteers, and a large community effort. In return we will be showcasing our community helpers by advertisement, media coverage, along with multiple print ads and signage exposure. If goods are donated, we can also provide a tax receipt for a tax deductible donation. I believe the resilient Edmond community is ready for a feel good, do good project, to be reported in the media versus the not so good news that we have been enduring for months.
