For the LOVE of Lauren
Thank you for taking a moment to learn about our precious little Angel. This is a donation page created to fund memorials for our daughter Lauren Marie Graham. Lauren was born full-term in 2008, with an incredibly rare genetic syndrome that was undetected by perinatologists prior to her birth. Lauren was blind, deaf, missing part of her brain, hip dysplasia, cleft lip and palate as well as failure to thrive. The name of the rare syndrome is Bohring-Opitz and Lauren was the 16th diagnosed case in the world.
After 35 days in the Providence NICU, we took her home to just love her, the specialists said she would live a week to a month at home with her severe disabilities. Lauren struggled for 20 months and passed away in our arms March of 2010. From that day, I had to fill my days with "busy work" paying it forward was my therapy.
We recently saw a news story about an orphaned female lamb at the Alaska Zoo. My 6 year old son, Garrett and I are currently trying to raise enough money with Lemonade for Lauren, so we can bid on and win the rights to name the orphaned Dall Sheep Lamb with the proceeds benefitting the animals at the zoo. NOTE: If you are able to donate to our auction fund for the "Lamb named Lauren" that donation must be made no later than June 20, 2012 just one week from today.
