The Forgotten Elders Of Guatemala
Donation protected
WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are heading to Guatemala to help the forgotten elders! This group of elders has been selling ice cream in the streets of Guatemala for about 50 years, trying to survive. They live under terrible conditions in a warehouse with no insulation, broken roof, no walls, and some of them have to sleep on the floor. They have no money to seek medical attention. One of the elders, Julio, who is 81 years old, has been diagnosed with cancer but can’t see a doctor for proper treatments.
With all the challenges they face, they still manage to get up everyday work 8 to 10 hours a day. Unfortunately, this is not enough for them to survive.
With your donations, we will help remodel the warehouse buy them beds, food, clothing, medicines. If we raise enough money, we will open an ice-cream shop so they can continue to self-sustain over the years.
Even a $5 donation will help. If you want to help but cannot donate, please share this on your social media profiles to help raise awareness. There is strength in numbers! Please follow us on TravelForGood Instagram @TravelFor.Good
