For Yvesas Chemotherapy and Bone Marrow Transplant
This donation page is for my beautiful cousin Yvesa Salihaj who lives in Kosovo, and is only 23 years old who has been battling Lymphoma.
Yvesa is the youngest of 7 children, making her the baby of the family. If anyone knows her, they know that she can light up any room with just her smile. Her spirit is always lifted no matter the situation. Yvesa has always wanted to help people, so much so that she graduated from Nursing school with hopes to start her career in medicine. But soon after, she got sick, putting a pause to her career.
In 2019, Yvesa began to feel ill. She became fatigued, her face started swelling and she was experiencing a pain in her arm. At this point, we knew something was wrong. She visited a few different doctors in Kosovo which lead her to travel to Turkey, Macedonia and Serbia for different opinions but in the end, all of her tests came back the same. Yvesa has been diagnosed with stage 4 Type - T Non Hodgkins Lymphoma.
After losing her sister to breast cancer, and losing her father only 2 years ago, we all thought that the losses in her home were over. When we got the news about her diagnosis, all the pain and heartache came back with the thought that we may lose her too. At only 23 years old, you have your whole life ahead of you. But for Yvesa, we don't know what the future holds for her after this.
Yvesa has developed massive lymph nodes all over her body that aggressive chemotherapy should remove/shrink, and after that she will need a bone marrow transplant that will ultimately help her live a long and beautiful life
Kosovo has limited resources for treating/helping someone with cancer. She will need to travel for her treatments and will be getting treated at Kolan International Hospital in Turkey. It will be a long and painful road. The donations will go towards her travel, chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant and whatever other medical treatments and medicine she needs.
Yvesa has had chemotherapy in the past which helped her fight through it the first time. Unfortunately, everything came back recently but even more aggresively. She got through it once and we are asking for your help so she can get through it again!
We know how hard times are right now for everyone, especially during this pandemic but we ask you to please help donate whatever you can for Yvesa and her family to make it through this difficult and painful time.
