For Vicki and Harold Alley in their time of need

Beschermde donatie
On February 7th my wife and I went to the ER at UMUC in Bel Air Maryland. We were both admitted for what turned out to be bad cases of Streptococcal pneumonia and bacteremia. She was taken directly to the ICU for treatment and I was moved to a general floor. While I improved over three days my wife of  2.5 years continued to worsen. By that Friday I was informed she need to be taken to UMMC in Baltimore to Shock Trauma.  After I was discharged I arrived at Shock Trauma 4 hours later to find them ready to move her to the MICU here. She had continued  to worsen over the next few days. After the start of the new week I was told it appeared she had had a ischemic stroke in her right hemisphere that went undetected until Monday. By then the damage was not treatable. Since Monday they have spent several days with her in an induced coma to prevent damage to her lungs. And it took many more days to control her diabetes. At which point multiple Epileptic type seizures began. Again it took a while to control with different anti seizure meds. Today I was told she needed Kidney SCUF Dialysis because her Kidneys were beginning to fail under the massive load they are now under. My brother in law has had to take a loan out to help us pay the Army/Corvias for our home rent. And I just found out that she potentially does not have any long term illness pay benefits.  We are now in a dire situation where we could default on our bill's and our home. The military cannot assist me even though I served over 28 years and was put out on a disability because i am what is known as a Grey Area Veteran. My full military benefits will not kick in till i reach 60 years of age. My disability is paid thru the State of Maryland Military Department not the Air Force because, even though I was fulltime I was dual employment status member.  Any assistance that our friends can provide would be greatfully accepted. I don't usually do this sort of thing but I cannot allow my wife to lose everything we have worked for while she remains in her current state. lastly I need to let you know that I went through a really bad time back in 2011 and 2012.  Vicki was there to pick up the pieces of my then shattered life and reassemble them to the point that I realized I did have a reason to live.  She has always been my rock and I fell in love with her ultimately marrying  her in June of 2017. Our lives had just started together and now this. I have remained here at the hospital since she was admitted. And I cannot bear this burden without my friends assistance.  Thanks and God Bless you all.
