For Officer Chip Smiths son, Logan Smith

As many of you may have already read or
received the shocking and tragic news, long
time friend and coworker, Officer James
(Chip) Smith, lost his life to an unfortunate
incident over the weekend.  
In his passing, he leaves behind his 14yr old
son Logan Smith.

 Chip was not only a good friend of mine, but a friend to many and a brother in blue.
As an officer, Chip served the Red Bank,
Soddy Daisy and Chattanooga City
community for over 15 years. 

While Chip saw it as his duty to serve and care for the community, I see it as it is now our
duty to return the favor and do our part in helping care for Chips son, who he loved so much. 

Logan has not only tragically lost his father. Those of you who know the circumstances know the extent of his loss. 

The funds raised for Logan Smith will go towards his care and needs as he and his
family face this difficult time.
