The Andrew Kingery / KingSouls Relief Fund

Donation protected

Two pillars of the Blading Community, Andrew Kingery of KingSouls &  Steve Larios of Asphalt Beach Skate Shop, suffered serious financial losses in the Nashville tornadoes on March 3rd, 2020.

This fund will specifically benefit Andrew Kingery, given the success of the official Asphalt Beach campaign, which you can find a link to below. Previously, this campaign was intended to benefit both parties. But we believe that by refocusing each campaign separately, we can do more good.

Andrew Kingery, through his passion for aggressive inline skating and his desire to support skater-owner companies, started his own brand called KingSouls in 2018. Andrew has been meticulously hand-crafting soul plates out of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW) for a wide variety of aggressive boots, most notably the highly regarded Salomon mold. His craftsmanship has allowed hundreds of skaters to either upgrade their factory boots for a faster ride or, in the case of the Salomon boot for example,  greatly extend the life of a now-discontinued skate.

The building where Andrew worked has been deemed a total loss by the insurance companies, and his inventory losses are not being covered.  For the time being, KingSouls is on a permanent hiatus, and we intend to help get him back up and running as quickly as possible.

While this might seem like a time for despair, we prefer to see it as an opportunity for our skating community.

We believe that when someone falls down, you pick them back up. So let's band together as a community and help raise these skater-owner companies back on their feet!

If you cannot donate, don't fret; there are other ways you can contribute! For starters, share this campaign page with your family and friends. Tell them about the impact that KingSouls has had on you, or how they've helped other skaters you know. Or, you could also help raise money by coming to skate with us!

On May 9th, there is going to be an official skating event in Knoxville, Tennessee called the King & Beach Charity Skate Jam. This skating event is already garnering a broad array of community support! It'll be $5 at the gate with 100% of the proceeds being split between these two pillars of the blading community! The Charity Jam will benefit both KingSouls & Asphalt Beach. It will include some raffles, door prizes, a best trick contest, and more. There will be music, food, and who knows... your favorite skater might just be there! So please come out, skate with us, and help celebrate the future and rebuilding of our BladeFam!
