Sanjay Runs for Dementia & Parrots

Ran my first half & full marathons, and a 200 mile relay from Raleigh to the Atlantic coast in 2017 for Foster Parrots and Dementia Alliance of North Carolina (formerly called Alzheimer's North Carolina). What fulfilling experiences!
There were 3 times I nearly quit after mile 21 during my first full marathon (City of Oaks in Raleigh) though; but just couldn't. How could I? I was running for these phenomenally impactful organizations in the human & animal world, and was being supported by friends, colleagues and family. There was NO WAY I was going to let them down.
Doing the same in 2018, except upping my game: running Tuna 200 (the same 200 mile relay with industry colleagues & friends) on 19th/20th of Oct, and the Richmond marathon on 10th Nov. My goal is to run 9 minute miles for both, meaning will finish the full in 4 hours (1hr 8mins less than last year).
How would you feel knowing your contribution went directly to these amazing organizations - rather, the ultimate beneficiaries: abused parrots who can't be set free and so live in a wonderful sanctuary, and individuals walking the downhill path of dementia and their families.
Be blessed by their souls, and those who run and volunteer for these two micro but incredibly powerful and impactful organizations!
