Foothill Rocketry

Through a student-led initiative, Foothill Rocketry was founded in September 2023 to enrich STEM education in our community, aiming to create accessible education and to improve Foothill College’s STEM and space science program. This initiative is of massive importance to the district, campus life, and students.

Nationwide, there are less than 12 community colleges that have rocketry programs and even fewer that compete nationally. Foothill Rocketry is seeking to broaden our reach by participating in out-of-state competitions. We are eager to participate in Battle of the Rockets, an extremely well-established competition in Culpeper, Virginia. We aim to compete with 4-year research universities to build a rocket that reaches exactly 900 feet.

To achieve this goal, we need your help! We are currently asking for donations, sponsorships, and any expert assistance in order to go to Battle of the Rockets and keep our program running. Please help us reach for the stars by donating!
