Foot Surgery Leaves Worker Struggling

I'm a 51 y.o. construction worker. I help build houses, including log homes. These past couple of years, I've been having more difficulties with being able to stay on my feet. I've had a few surgeries on my feet, including a toe amputation. I have other medical issues with my feet that are making it more difficult to do the job that I really enjoy working. As of this post, I've been out of work for 2 1/2 weeks, and it will be more weeks before I might be able to go back. I'm just looking for a hand up to help out with life. I live with my wife and her dad. So, my wife is footing hers and my bills . I'm at a loss as to what I'm able to do to help out.
