Food donations to families in need in Colombia

Hey everyone, my cousins Maria Teresa and Mateo with a friend of theirs in Mesellin Colombia  and I are collecting monetary donations for families in need in low income communities. They are providing one bag per family in need filled with groceries during this pandemic. A lot of these families are street vendors, Venezuelan refugees, and other people who have lost their sources of income due to the current public health circumstances.  People can only go outside to purchase food, go to the bank, or do humanitarian things on days their ID number is allowed. It is so strict and controlled that people’s certain numbers in their IDs are linked to specific days of the week they can go out and buy essentials. Families that are not earning income are really struggling. The dollar is strong in Colombia right now so a little goes a long way. One grocery bag with 14 items is $9 USD.  Any amount helps and together we can all achieve great things. The families being helped and ourselves appreciate your efforts and that you from the bottom of our hearts. 


Hola a todos, mis primos, un amigo y yo estamos colectando donaciones para las familias necesitadas en barrios de bajos recursos y zonas desamparadas por el gobierno. Ellos estan donando una bolsa de mercado con 14 productos de la canasta basica a cada familia que encuentren con necesidad. Muchas de estas familias son vendedores de la calle o con otros oficios y sus salarios dependen de la gente. $1 dólar equivale a 3.500 COP aproximadamente. Una bolsa de mercado donada vale $9dolares. Cualquier cantidad ayuda y las familias y nosotros te lo agradecemos con el corazón.
