Food Bank For Frontline Workers

Videos , pictures and news reports have surfaced in the past few weeks  of Frontline workers having to wait on long lines to buy groceries. They where often told that they are not essential enough to get priority access to shop and buy groceries. The Frontline workers I'm referring to are not doctors or nurses, they are your local bus drivers, subway employees, sanitation workers and all the non medical Frontline employees that can't work from home. 

The Frontline Food Bank will provide boxes of groceries to those non medical Frontline workers in need. We want to raise funds to have  grocery boxes, like the one in the picture, be available every Thursday for the month of May at a location in Queens, NY for pick up.

I'm a New Yorker and was a commuter on an MTA Bus . This is heart breaking for all of us and whatever we can do to help, lets make it happen. Please help accomplish this goal! All donations will be greatly appreciated as we show our support to these city employees that keep our city moving!

The MTA has been hit hard with the coronavirus Tragically 84 of our colleagues have succumbed to the virus 

The Transit Worker’s Union is calling for stores to include transit workers in priority shopping
