Food Aid for Kibera,s Families

Kibera is Kenya’s Largest and Poorest Slum, where people typically live on less than $2 per day.

Most parts of Kibera slum lack access to clean water and sanitation facilities and the people living there have to rely on informal labour markets, schools and volunteering programs fit a simple meal. The recent spread of COVID-19 made the access to these essential resourses even tougher.

The Kibera Slum community has been hit very hard by COVID-19; the restrictions and the consequential impact on the economy, left thousands of people jobless and unable to provide to the most basic needs.

Help us to support Kibera! With the help of local volunteers, we are fundraising for food packages and basic care for the community, giving them the best possible chance to survive.

Kibera è uno dei quartieri più poveri del Kenya, dove le persone guadagnano in media meno di 2$ al giorno.

La comunità di Kibera non ha accesso ad acqua pulita, strutture igienico-sanitarie ed usufruiscono generalmente dei beni primari tramite programmi scolastici o lavori occasionali. Ma oggi a causa del recente lockdown e la conseguente chiusura delle scuole tali risorse sono venute a mancare.

La comunità di Kibera  è stata dunque duramente colpita dal COVID-19; le restrizioni e il conseguente impatto sull'economia, hanno lasciato migliaia di persone senza lavoro  incapaci di provvedere ai bisogni primari per sfamare le proprie famiglie.
