High in the mountains of Xingtai, China, lives Xiao Huang, a gentle golden dog who has captured the hearts of the students at the Mei Hua Kung Fu School. For her, the mountain is both playground and refuge. I write this as a friend and former student of the school, where we came to love and care for Xiao Huang.

But life here is not safe. Locals often mistreat her—throwing stones, chasing her away, even threatening her with buckets of paint. She has learned to fear the people around her, barking only in self-defence. Despite this, Xiao Huang has shown us endless loyalty, warmth, and trust.

The good news is that Xiao Huang has already found a loving home in the Netherlands. Caring parents are waiting to welcome her with open arms. Thanks to generous supporters, we’ve raised funds to microchip her, secure her passport, and complete the vaccinations she needs to leave China.

Now, we just need one final push: the cost of her plane ticket. By December 2025, with your help, Xiao Huang can finally leave danger behind and step into a life of safety, love, and belonging.

Every contribution brings her closer to her forever home. Will you help us get Xiao Huang on that plane?
