[#FloweringWithPurpose] Youth Internship Program

After 20 years of building our flower business platforms, we're excited to create a space where we can flower with purpose with local youth!

Sometimes it’s hard to dream beyond what we can see, and we firmly believe we have to address the limited access some of our local young people experience. There's a world of possibilities for them to pursue careers that utilize their talents and interests, but how can they strive for something they don't know about?

Hi! I’m Amy, owner of Bloom Trust Co and Botanical Brouhaha. I’ve been in the floral industry for over 20 years and have done a little bit of everything - from growing flowers to owning a wedding/event floral design studio. Currently, I write a floral industry blog, host a flower industry podcast, host floral industry mastermind sessions, and run a resource site for floral designers and farmer florists.

Over the years at Botanical Brouhaha, we've championed the healing qualities of flowers to help clients celebrate and grieve life’s milestones, and we've worked to impact our local community and beyond by using floral art to bring awareness to injustices and inequities.

In addition to being crazy about flowers, I’m passionate about listening to the wisdom of young people and facilitating opportunities for them to grow.

So, our new creative space will be a place for local youth to explore the broad scope of what we do at Bloom Trust Co and Botanical Brouhaha through our new internship/apprenticeship program.

We're hoping to raise the financial support we need to secure the creative space for one year (but we plan on being there a lot longer!) and furnish it with the necessary equipment to get started on September 1, 2022.
