Each Holiday Season FLOW Aquatics Swim School launches our Annual Holiday Fundraiser and picks a local charity to raise money for. This year we have partnered with Boise's Got Faith.
Boise’s Got Faith is local to the Treasure Valley. Each year, they select new children who are in the midst of fighting cancer, to stand with them and help support them emotionally and financially.
This year there are 2 honorees, one of which just received a 3 - 6 month prognosis. We are hoping we can make this Christmas and an incredible one for them. For more info please see: https://boisesgotfaith.org/
Genevieve Syed is a sweet, smart two-year-old who loves Daniel Tiger, meatballs, and the color purple. When Genevieve isn’t helping take care of her baby brother, she can be found taking walks with her family, playing at the park, and spending time with her very favorite person–her daddy! In January, Genevieve was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma, a rare liver cancer. On January 28th, she underwent surgery to have the tumor on her liver removed. Genevieve has just received approval to begin a treatment plan that is new to the United States but commonly used in Europe and Asia. She will be the first child in Idaho to receive this treatment.
Madison Moore is a positive, adventurous 10-year-old who loves cheerleading and spending time with her friends. She also enjoys warmed turkey and cheese sandwiches with a little bit of mayo and olives (very particular! :)) as well as putting on dance performances with her younger sister in the living room. In August 2018, Maddie started having seizures which led to her diagnosis of Diffuse Midline Glioma. Maddie currently travels to Michigan every six weeks for treatment.
Right now, FLOW Aquatics has raised a little over $1,000 toward our $2,000 goal. Please help these sweet girls have a wonderful holiday season without having to worry about medical expenses and focus on what is most important...spending time with their families and loved ones.
