Danny Flory (security guard), his wife Becky (school teacher) and their 3 children Kortney, Kasi and Nate are amazing residents of Rabun County (Clayton, GA). They are very well liked and have very generous hearts toward people's needs. THEY are now in need. They don't ever ask anything for themselves, but Danny now has some major medical issues that is greatly affecting their finances.

In August, Danny went to a dermatologist with what he thought could be itchy cysts on his head. The "cysts" ended up being B Cell Follicular Lymphoma. That dreaded, popular "c" word... Cancer  :(  The tumors are between the skull and scalp. So, the specialists set up a treatment plan. That is scary enough, but the beginning of this month, his pet scan results came back. The results showed 3 spots on his pancreas and 2 spots on his liver. They are thinking the liver spots may be fatty tissue. Waiting on results from the biopsies. He also had to have a bone marrow biopsy done. Waiting on those results as well. Chemo and/or radiation will begin soon.

They have been having to take time off from work to go to Atlanta for all these tests, as well as the fuel, eating out and motel expenses. Their insurance doesn't cover 100% of the bills. This is just the beginning of  a very long journey for them. Danny has a very positive and upbeat  attitude about this and doesn't want anyone to be sad for him.  He says that God is driving the bus and he is along for the ride.  They are very independent Christian people with amazing faith in our God, but I want for us to pull together and help this great family. Believe me, they would if it were you or me in this circumstance.
