Help FL Keys Sportfishing Captain's

My wife and I live in Tavernier, which is in the upper Florida Keys. As everyone knows the keys took the brunt of Hurricane Irma Sept 10th in the early am. It has wreaked havoc the entire 120 mile stretch from Key Largo to Key West. There are so many people that were affected it is overwhelming on how to help. Since I’m good friends and neighbors with many of the sport fishing captains in the upper keys, I have decided to raise money to help support those captains that are now in critical need of financial support. These captains support their families and their livelihoods through fishing these waters on a daily basis. As of Sept 11th many of these captains have lost their boats, their marinas where they park their boats, there customers, their equipment and in some cases their homes.

Without boats, equipment and customers these captains can’t run their businesses and I want to help bridge the gap from now until they are back up and running.

This fishery is one of the best on the planet and gives so many families amazing memories on a daily basis, I grew up fishing these waters and think the world of the fishery, the captains and the work that goes into it every day. It’s going to take a while for these captains to get things moving again.
