Community Hotline for Incarcerated People

Donation protected
The Community Hotline for Incarcerated People (CHIP) has been taking calls from people incarcerated in South Florida jails since April 2020. CHIP is volunteer powered and committed to abolition, LGBTQ liberation, and anti-racism.

Community makes our work possible. We're in the midst of a big campaign to challenge barriers to communication in collaboration with the Community Care Coalition, and we need to accommodate an influx of calls. We're documenting the effects of high priced phone calls and the postcard only policy in order to campaign for (1) FREE phone calls for incarcerated people and (2) an end to the unconstitutional mail ban. Already we've gotten incredibly moving testimony from incarcerated organizers that we're excited to share with advocates and stakeholders as we build power for this campaign. But we need funds to keep the hotline running.

We appreciate any financial contributions you can make, or sharing/re-posting across social media platforms.

Feel free to visit us on Facebook @CHIPsouthflorida and on IG @chip_southflorida, and check out www.chipsouthfl.org for more information or questions.
