Flood relief for communities in Silchar(Assam)

This fundraising is for flood affected people of Silchar(Cachar) town and its adjoining areas, they need immediate help of dry food, medicines, drinking water, literally everything.
Silchar town in southern Assam and heart of Barak Valley is being in the news for being hit by a devastating flood for the second time in less than a month.
This time the amount of devastation has left the entire town and its adjoining areas submerged in water for more than a week or so.
The administration of South Assam's Cachar district on Thursday said that they have never before seen such a disaster of such a magnitude and scale.
The district administration said that over 2.8 lakhs people, mostly in the district headquarters, Silchar and its adjoining areas remained stuck in flood and the administration struggled to rescue the marooned people and provide them food and drinking water.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made an aerial survey of Silchar and neighboring Karimganj and Hailakandi districts on Thursday in an IAF helicopter.
While the government and local administration is trying their best to help deliver food items and drinking water bottles through airdrop, but the disproportionate number of people impacted is making the work of administration extremely difficult.
There are a few incidents of dead bodies floating in water which gives an impression of the situation people are facing.
To make matters more worse there are incidents of dacoits and armed robbers attacking helpless people in the night and creating a situation of panic and chaos everywhere across the town.
In such a situation, our target is to move forward with whatever help possible to help and rescue as many people as possible.
