Hello brothers, sisters, family, and friends. We're asking for help today for our Aunt & Uncle. 2020 has dealt many of us challenges both big and small, and my aunt and uncle have suffered a tremendous loss.
Bud and Diane Brown, are in their golden senior years, having spent most of their lives in Tacoma raising their family. With the great life they've lived, they've recently had to make the hard decision to move from their home, to a home that better fits their needs. Bud, specifically benefited greatly with this transition.
Since they were in transition out of their home, our family had been assisting with checking in on the home, in their absence. It was noticed last week, the house had been tragically robbed and vandalized. Precious personal items, vehicles, and priceless time collected items from their travels, totaling tens of thousands of dollars, were completely gone. There was no homeowners insurance due to mid-transition out of the home. Unfortunately, their personal and financial information was compromised and stolen, which provided the thieves access to private information. The cars were taken from their garage. It was a nightmare that would not end.
After the family had contacted police and moved immediate efforts into changing the locks, boarding up damage and sorting through emotions; they began hoping for some healing. Within a few short days on the early morning of December 8th, 2020, the nightmare continued with their home blazing on fire. The home is a complete loss. What once stood, is now a skeleton of memories. We're grateful they weren't home at the time of the fire, however the damage is extensive beyond repair and the funds raised will go towards cleaning up the remnants and assisting in their future as they rebuild their lives.
