This fund is for my best friend Amy and her daughter Taylor. Amy is a Savannah (Garden City) firefighter and a single mom. She works hard to be a great mother to her three wonderful girls, but there isn't much a mother can do about a tumor. Taylor is a bright, bubbly, beautiful 8th grader and has Juevenile Rheumatoid Arthiritis, but a brain tumor is the main issue right now. She needs brain surgery on October 22 and she needs her mom by her side. Amy will need to take a lot of time off work, have to travel to Augusta and possibly Atlanta for some of Taylors care, and her car is not in the best shape. Amy is the spokesperson for the Garden City Fire Department and has been a champion for several needy families in the area. She has even taken her vacation, used most of her own funds, rented a moving van and collected donations for a NY Fire Department that lost everything in Hurricane Sandy. Amy is a very special person who has helped so many. Now is the time to help her. Let's help make things at least a little easier for Amy and Taylor during this difficult time.
